Torsten Zuberbier

Torsten making beer ( born February 28, 1962 in Hamburg ) is a German dermatologist and allergist.

Life

After the Abitur 1981 stored, studied Torsten Zuberbier 1983-1990 Human Medicine at the Free University of Berlin. From 1990 to 1994 he received specialist training in the Department of Dermatology at the Virchow -Klinikum, Berlin, where in 1995 a senior physician and his habilitation in 1996 on differentiation and function of human behavior mast cells. In 1996 he received the appointment as Head of Allergology at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology, Charité. In September 2001, he was awarded an extraordinary professorship. In 2003 he was offered a professorship (C4 ) for allergy - impact research and in the same year director of the European Centre for Allergy Research ECARF at the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology, Charité in Berlin. Since October 2004 he has directed the Allergy Centre Charité at the site skin clinic in Berlin -Mitte. Before he was elected in January 2012 as Managing Director of the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology, Charité, he was co-director of the clinic. In addition, Torsten Zuber beer received an honorary doctorate from the University of Athens in January 2012.

Emphasis of scientific work making Beer are urticaria, eczema, respiratory and food allergies and allergic rhinitis. He is co-editor of the Journal of the German Dermatological Society and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Allergo journal.

Zuber beer is married and has two children.
