Toshiro Nomura

Toshirō Nomura (Japanese野村 敏 郎, Nomura Toshirō; * 1954) is a Japanese astronomer.

Nomura is the discoverer or co-discoverer of asteroids currently 13. He made the most of his discoveries along with Koyo Kawanishi. He teaches Earth Science at the Nada High School in Kobe. Since 1992, he has met several times with colleagues visited the site of the Tunguska event, to search for meteorites. As head of the district of Kobe Oriental Astronomical Association, he takes every possible opportunity to make popular by astronomy in Japan.

The asteroid ( 6559 ) Nomura was named after him.
