Totleben, Bulgaria

Totleben ( Bulgarian Тотлебен ) is a village in the municipality Pordim in the Oblast Pleven in northern Bulgaria. It is 10 km north-east of Pordim and 25 km east of the city of Pleven on the left bank of the Osam River, a tributary of the Danube. On the southern outskirts of the village the Europa road runs 83

The village, in the 2011 on an area of ​​32.63 km ² 539 inhabitants lived, is named after Count (Franz) Eduard Ivanovich Totleben from ( 1818-1884 ), a Baltic German General of the Russian army, which mainly through its achievements was known in the field of the fortifications and the pioneering nature.
