Toula Limnaios

Toula Limnaios (Greek Toula Limneos Τούλα Λιμναίος, born 1963 in Athens ) is a Greek interpreter and choreographer. She founded and directs together with the composer Ralf R. Ollertz since 1997 cie. toula limnaios, with which it is established in the hall dance theater in Berlin since 2003.

Life

After her training in classical and modern dance, M. Alexander and Laban technique as well as music and dance education in Brussels, she worked as an interpreter with Claudio Bernardo, Régine Chopinot and as an assistant to Pierre Droulers. Later, she continued her education at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, where she became a member of the Folkwang Dance Studio under the artistic direction of Pina Bausch was after a short time. She has been in live improvisations with musicians Conny Bauer and Peter Kowald a name and founded in 1996 the cie. toula limnaios. Tours and guest appearances have taken since then to Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Senegal, Spain, Cyprus and Venezuela. She is active in addition to the line of her ensemble as guest choreographer at Theater Osnabrück, the Academy of Performing Arts in Frankfurt / Main. 2007-2008 Toula Limnaios was a guest professor of choreography at the Ernst Busch School.
