Tour d'Argent

La Tour d' Argent ( silver tower) in Paris is a world-renowned restaurant. It was founded in 1582 by the cook Rourteau. From 1933 to 1952, from 1953 to 1996 had La Tour d'Argent restaurant three stars in the Michelin Guide, since 2006 it has only one.

The restaurant is famous for its duck dishes and the wine cellar, which includes far more than 400,000 bottles.

The restaurant is close to the left bank to the Île de la Cité and the Cathedral Notre- Dame de Paris in the 5th district of Paris. From the dining room, the visitor opens a wonderful view of Paris and the Seine, which flows under the high windows of the hall.

Wine Cellar

The legendary wine cellar comprises almost 440,000 bottles, which are divided into 15,000 references. During the German occupation of France in World War II underscored Claude Terrail, at the time of the son of the master of the house, the basement in order to hide the bottles against the occupiers.

Canard Tour d'Argent

The recipe for Canard Tour d' Argent ( Duck Tour d' argent ) was designed in 1890 by Frédéric Delair. From the rearing of ducks on the preparation, to serving every detail of the Court, great care is given. Well known is the silver duck press, with the table of the duck giblets sauce is prepared.
