Tour of Hainan

The Tour of Hainan is a race in China. The stage race was founded in 2006 and led to 2007 in eight stages through the island - province of Hainan. From 2008 the race was expanded to ten stages. From the outset it was the tour part of the UCI Asia Tour. However, initially classified with the category 2.2, from 2007 to 2.1 in 2006, the round trip counts from 2009 to Category 2.HC making it one of the most important races of the UCI Asia Tour. This was also attended by increased European professionals participating in the Tour of Hainan.
