Tour of Rwanda

The Tour of Rwanda is one in November annual cycling race through the East African country of Rwanda.

The race leads through nine stages with about 1000 km and a rest day and was held for the first time in 1988. Between 1991 and 2001, the stage race fell out. Since 2009, the Tour of Rwanda is classified in category 2.2 of the UCI Africa Tour. It is the first international cycling race in East Africa.

The Tour of Rwanda has not only flat sections on some climbs. Happens to be some natural and cultural monuments along the route, for example, the Akagera National Park and memorials commemorating the genocide in 1994.
