Tower Verre

The Tower Verre is a licensed for the construction of skyscrapers in New York City, borough of Manhattan. The Jean Nouvel's planned tapering building will be 320 meters tall and have 73 floors. He would be higher than the Chrysler Building ( in 2013, New York's fourth- tallest building at 319 meters ). In the fall of 2009, the construction of the building was approved. Originally the building was to be 381 feet high, as high as the Empire State Building. The building is to be erected between the 52nd and 53rd Street West and cost about 941 million euros.

Beginning in January 2013 DOB documents ( Department of Buildings - NYC) have been submitted to enable an immediate construction of the tower. On 29 October 2013 it was announced that the financing of the tower is secured. The construction of the tower is scheduled to begin in mid-2014, with a completion before 2018 is not expected.
