Toyomichi Kurita

Toyomichi Kurita (Japanese栗 田 豊 通, Kurita Toyomichi; born 1950 in Japan) is a Japanese cameraman.

Life

Toyomichi Kurita worked as a camera assistant by Tatsuo Suzuki. He went to the USA and studied at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where in 1981 he graduated. He then worked as a cameraman for commercials, before he made his debut as a cinematographer with the published in 1985 and directed by Alan Rudolph crime drama Trouble in Mind as the main cinematographer on the canvas. At the ceremony of the Independent Spirit Awards 1986, he was awarded the best camera. Two other nominations, for Wilde years in Paris and two Cheyenne on the highway, should follow each 1989 and 1990.
