Toyotomi Hidetsugu

Toyotomi Hidetsugu (Japanese豊 臣 秀 次, also: Hidetsugu Hashiba (羽 柴 秀 次) * 1568, † 1595 ) was the son of a half-sister Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Since Hideyoshi himself was childless, he adopted Hidetsugu it and used it as his heir. He appointed him Imperial Regent ( Kampaku ) and chancellor to the left ( Sadaijin ). As Hideyoshi then but still a biological son was born, he accused Hidetsugu treachery and forced him to commit Sepukku.
