Tradedoubler

TradeDoubler is a provider of online marketing and sales solutions. The company was founded by Felix Hagnö and Martin Lorentzon in Stockholm in November 1999 and achieved a turnover of 117 million euros by its own account in 2005. Headquartered in Sweden TradeDoubler is represented in 17 other European countries with about 500 employees. TradeDoubler AB is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange since 2005.

History

1999

  • In the spring of Felix and Martin Lorentzon Hagnö had completed a working prototype of the tracking software.
  • On August 24, the company was founded.
  • The end of October TradeDoubler turned to his two first employee.

2007

  • On January 15, AOL submitted a tender offer for TradeDoubler.
  • The takeover offer from AOL was withdrawn on 15 March 2007.
  • TradeDouber introduced the technology iSales. With this technology it is possible not only sales that were created on the basis of clicks to compensate, but also sales that have arisen due to the insertion of an advertisement.
  • December 31, 2007 put Pantke Mathias, CEO of TradeDoubler GmbH, resigned and left the company.

2008

  • On 1 January 2008, the TD Technology division was established.
  • On the same day the Austria business was spun off from TradeDoubler GmbH and passed to the TradeDoubler Austria GmbH newly founded with headquarters in Vienna. Manager of TradeDoubler Austria GmbH was Erik Lehner.
  • February 1, 2008 Axel Schoenau took over the post of Managing Director of TradeDoubler GmbH.
  • Early April 2008, launched TradeDoubler for its publishers with contextual advertising, called td ADMATCH.

2009

  • Beginning of 2009 reorganized TradeDoubler its product range. From td pull and Talk td td Affiliate, from td td Push and Reach td Campaigns. The Search Works remains only in the UK and France remain an independent brand. In all other countries in which TradeDoubler is active, td Search is started with the product.

Acquisitions

On 25 July 2007 TradeDoubler took over the company Marketing Works Ltd.. ( IMW Group) for pounds 56 million sterling. The IMW Group consists of two divisions:

  • The Search Works, an SEM Agency
  • The Technology Works, a technology provider for SEM

The products of the IMW Group, such as BidBuddy are now included in the TradeDoubler's product portfolio.

On 1 January 2008 the new business TD Technology (formed from The Technology Works) was established, in which the products and td td Toolbox Searchware 4 (formerly BidBuddy ) were pooled. This TD Technology is pure technology provider, without affiliate network. Both products can be licensed by TD Technology.

The SEM agency business remains under its own brand The Search Works exist.

With the sale of its SEM activities Netbooster end of 2011, TradeDoubler withdraws from the SEM market that began with the acquisition of IMW Group in 2007.
