Traisen is a market town with 3531 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the Most district in Lower Austria, Lilienfeld, and covers about 6.8 square kilometers. About one- third of the area is forested. There are no other cadastral except Traisen.

History

In ancient times, the area was part of the Celtic kingdom of Noricum and eventually became part of the Roman province of the same name. In the core Austrian state of Lower Austria lying the place told the eventful history of Austria. His coat of arms is a left-wing, silver dragon on medium green background.

The council has 23 seats, mayor of the municipality is Herbert Thumpser jun., Chief officer Alois Reinprecht.

2009 Traisen had 3704 inhabitants. According to the results of the 2001 census, there were 3649 inhabitants. In 1991, the market town of 3643 inhabitants, 1981 and 3573 in 1971, 3541 inhabitants. Traisen has the highest proportion of foreigners in the district of Lilienfeld.

Music

Werkskapelle Traisen: The factory Chapel was founded in 1936 by the then Secretary Dr. Heresch work and the wages auditors burning.
