The Transili Alatau ( Kazakh Іле Алатауы; Kyrgyz Иле алатоо; Russian Заилийский Алатау ( Sailijski Alatau ); Alatau = "colorful mountains ", the Latin trans = beyond / behind, so "Colourful mountains behind the river Ili ") is a 4978 to, 9 m high mountains in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan (Central Asia ).

The Transili Alatau, which is a part of the Tian Mountains Hans, located in the areas of Almaty ( Kazakhstan) to the north and Issyk Kul ( Kyrgyzstan ) in the south. To the north it drops to the valley of Ilis, in the Almaty lies east to the valley of the Schilik, a Ili inflow. In the south, the Kungej Alatau connects to the border with Kyrgyzstan and in the west the Kyrgyz Mountains. The Transili Alatau has a length of about 350 km.

The highest mountain of the Transili - Alatau is the south-southeast of lying Talghar Pik Talgar ( 4978.9 m), the height of which is partially specified with 4951 m to 5020 m.
