Trapeze (band)

Trapeze were an English rock band that was founded in March 1969 and finally 1994 came into existence. The band's history was marked by the frequent personnel changes. Although the band itself could not achieve greater commercial success, some musicians were later known bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Judas Priest or Uriah Heep or were at all-star rock musicians projects, such z.Bsp. Phenomena, works. The first four albums, the band released at Threshold Records, the band's own label Moody Blues.

The core of the band formed the musicians Glenn Hughes, Mel Galley and Dave Holland. After Glenn Hughes left the band in 1973 in order to join Deep Purple, Galley and Holland tried to hold the tape. However, the members changed constantly, until Holland 1979 self quit the band and played with Judas Priest. Mel Galley led the band until 1982, until he got even with Whitesnake and singer Pete Goalby received an offer from Uriah Heep.

After his discharge in 1990, Judas Priest Holland tried again to revive the band again. It was only a joint tour from 1991 to 1992, as Glenn Hughes again increasingly focused on his solo career. And in 1994, Galley, Hughes, and Holland met only for a single appearance to (ex - Black Sabbath / Phenomena / Badlands ) to pay tribute to the late singer Ray Gillen recognition.
