Travis Claridge

Travis Claridge (born 23 March 1978 in Detroit, Michigan, † 28 February 2006 in Henderson, Nevada ) was an American football player in the National Football League.

He played between 2000 and 2003 for the Atlanta Falcons and 2004 for the Carolina Panthers.

He grew up in Almont, Missouri, he grew up with the desire to belong to the tips of the U.S. Football League. This also paved his brother Ryan Claridge, who played for the New England Patriots. Claridge played college football at the University of Southern California and at Fort Vancouver High School in Vancouver, Washington. He became a linesman in 1999 after 48 games.

For the Atlanta Falcons he made 27 games in two seasons. In 2003, he suffered a knee injury and could make only six games, after his contract was not renewed.

In 2004, he signed with the Carolina Panthers as a free player. 2005 Claridge played one season with the Hamilton Tiger -Cats in the Canadian Football League.

He was found unconscious in 2006 at his home in Las Vegas and died in hospital. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reported on 10 May 2006 that the cause of the early death of Travis Claridge acute pneumonia was ( complicated by breathing problems that were caused by painkillers ).
