Treaty of Peace and Friendship between Japan and the People's Republic of China

The Peace and Friendship Treaty between Japan and the People 's Republic of China was completed on 12 August 1978. Signatories are the Foreign Ministers of the two countries; for Japan Sonoda Sunao and the People's Republic of China Huang Hua.

The peace treaty was preceded by the joint declaration of the Government of Japan and the Government of the People's Republic of China in Beijing on 29 September 1972.
