Tři Sekery

Tři Sekery ( German Drei Hacken ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers west of Marianske Lazne on Huťský Potok ( Hüttenbach ) near the German border, is the Okres Cheb on.

Geography

The place is located in 665 m above sea level. M. in the eastern foothills of the Upper Palatinate Forest. In southern Broumov there is a border crossing for road transport by Mähring. Neighboring towns are Krasne in the north, Velka Hleďsebe and Drmoul in the east, Chodovská Huť in the south. In the West, the 792 m high summit Tišina rises ( The Rest ), behind the located on the German border, the deserted village Slatina ( Lohhäuser ).

History

In the stately forests of Dreihackener yoke rich ore deposits were discovered in the first half of the 16th century. 1536 was Kaspar Pflugk of Rabenstein create the first mines that promoted copper ore. In the pits created smelters and settlements of Mining and Metallurgy people. In the 17th century, the mining advanced to lead, silver and cobalt. 1736 known deposits were exhausted and the mines were abandoned.

Exactly one hundred years later, the recovery began with the excavation of two deep adit at three hoes. Until the 19th century was the recovery of cobalt and silver, also the old copper mines Elias mine and Stephani mine were put back into operation. 1916 and 1923, uranium ore deposits were discovered.

Until after the Second World War were located in present-day municipality of several independent villages. These were

• The cowl planner melting Thal ( Chodovská Huť ) and the planner melting Thal ( Plánská Huť ), who belonged to the planner or later to Tachauer district. In Marienbad district were,
• Schonthal ( Krasne ), consisting of large Schonthal ( Velké Krasne ), Small Schonthal (Malé Krasne ) and New Metternich Metternich or three hoes ( Nový Metternich )
• Tachauer Drei Hacken ( Tři Sekery u Tachova ) including Hohlenstein ( Kamenec )
• Tachauer melting Thal ( Tachovská Huť ) and the
• Königswarther Drei Hacken ( Tři Sekery u Kynžvartu ).

After the extinction of the mining and metallurgical Dreihackener the yoke is now a recreation area that benefits from the forest wealth of the area and its remoteness.

Community structure

The municipality Tři Sekery consists of the districts Chodovská Huť ( cowl planner melting Thal ), Krasne ( Schonthal ) Tachovská Huť ( Tachauer melting Thal ) and Tři Sekery ( Drei Hacken ). Basic settlement units are Chodovská Huť, Krasne, Plánská Huť ( planner melting Thal ), Tachovská Huť Tři Sekery u Kynžvartu ( Königswarther Three hoes ) and Tři Sekery u Tachova ( Tachauer Three hoes ).

The municipality is divided into the Katastralbezirke Chodovská Huť Krasne u Tří Seker, Plánská Huť Tachovská Huť Tři Sekery u Kynžvartu and Tři Sekery u Tachova.
