The Hairy Toad Lily ( Tricyrtis hirta, Syn Tricyrtis japonica), also known as Japan Toad Lily, Tiger star or Bristly Toad Lily, is a species in the lily family ( Liliaceae ).
Description
The Japanese Toad Lily is an upright prone to slightly growing perennial herbaceous plant that can reach heights of growth of up to 100 centimeters. The stems are weak branches, the pointed leaves are hairy.
The one to three star - to funnel -shaped flowers can reach a diameter of up to 5 centimeters, are in clusters and grow from the leaf axils. The bloom is between 2.5 and 3 inches long, speckled white in color and with purple dots. The flowering period extends from September to October.
Dissemination
Tricyrtis hirta is native to Japan and eastern parts of Asia.
