The Broadleaf starflower ( Trientalis latifolia ) is a species of the genus Trientalis.
Features
The Broadleaf starflower is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches the stature heights of 10 to 25 cm. It makes underground runners. Among the terminal leaves are 0-3 linear- pfriemliche stem leaves present. The petals are pale to dark pink, rarely white.
The flowering period extends from May to July.
Occurrence
The Broadleaf starflower is found in prairies and woods such as yellow pine forests and Redwoodwäldern in western North America.
Use
The Broadleaf starflower is rarely used as an ornamental plant for flower beds and Heide (coniferous ) wood edges.
