Description

Vegetative characteristics

They are mostly perennial, sometimes annual, herbaceous plants or rarely shrubs. The arranged alternate, usually stalked leaves are usually pinnate. They usually have the typical three, rarely five or seven leaflets; sometimes reduced to a Leaflet. The lateral nerves are usually extended to the teeth of the blade edge. The stipules are usually fused with the petioles, rarely in Parochetus almost free; there are no stipules of leaflets available.

Generative features
