Trine Schmidt

Trine Schmidt ( born June 3, 1988 in Copenhagen) is a Danish cyclist who is successfully on track and road.

Trine Schmidt is one of the strongest women cyclists of Denmark in the first decade of the 2000s. In 2003, she finished in Danish railway championships, two second and two third places in the elite as well as the junior class. In 2004, she won two league titles, the scratch on the track and in the individual time trial of the juniors on the road. At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 she fell in the points race and was ranked 18th

By 2009, Trine Schmidt won numerous other national titles on the track and road. Her greatest international success was the vice - world champion in the points race of 2008 in Manchester under the supervision of the German coach Heiko Salzwedel. In addition, she won numerous stage wins and top places in road racing. So she took in 2009 at the Chrono des Nations in second place behind Jeannie Longo - Ciprelli.
