Trinity Church (Worms)

The Holy Trinity (full name Reformation Memorial Church of the Holy Trinity ) is the largest Protestant church in Worms. The baroque hall building is centrally located on the market square of the city and is now a listed building.

History

After the destruction of the city in 1689 during the Palatinate War of Succession of the destroyed house in 1709 at the location specified to the coin of the foundation stone for the Lutheran town church, since it was assumed here Martin Luther had defended his writings in 1521 at the Diet of Worms; actually, this was done in a few hundred meters away bishop. Description
