Trochu (Alberta)

Trochu is a village in the Canadian province of Alberta in Kneehill County and is located about 80 km southeast of Red Deer. The village can be reached via the Alberta Highway 21, Alberta Highway 27 and Highway 585 Alberta. Trochu counts 1113 inhabitants ( 2009).

The village has 450 households. In 2006 the population was 1005 inhabitants, this represented a decline of 2.7 percent compared to 2001. Trochu covers an area of 2.82 km ², a population density of 394.7 / km ².

The area is dominated by agriculture, also important is the oil and gas industry.
