Trockener Steg

Dry dock, also called dryer bar, is a mountain ridge in the Valais Alps. The back is on 2900-3000 m. Dry dock is just a few kilometers from the world famous ski resort of Zermatt and only 3 km from the border with Italy away. The snout of the Theodulgletscher is only a few tens of meters above dry dock. Dry dock is located on the south side more than 1000m above is located further north ends Gorner. The slopes there are quite steep. On the east side of the plateau increases only slightly until it finally reaches a height of 3300 meters, 2 km horizontal length.
