Troels Lund Poulsen

Troels Lund Poulsen (born 30 March 1976) is a Danish politician of the Venstre, who was among other things, environmental, fiscal, last Minister of Education.

Life

Lund Poulsen began after the school visit in 1996 to study history at the University of Copenhagen and started his political involvement during the study between 1997 and 1999 as state chairman of the Venstres Ungdom, the youth organization of his party. In the election of 20 November 2001, he was first elected as an MP in the Folketing and upholds the interests of the Venstre since then. During this time he was between 2001 and 2006 the same provisions and foreign policy spokesman of Venstre. In the latter position, he fought for a participation of Denmark in the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

After Lund Poulsen was between 2006 and 2007 spokesman for the Venstre, he ( Miljøminister ) was on 23 November 2007 by Prime Minister Fogh Anders Rasmussen appointed to the third Government Minister of the Environment. This ministerial post he held also in the subsequent government of Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

As part of a government reshuffle Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen appointed him February 23, 2010 as the successor to Kristian Jensen as tax minister and kept this minister until March 8, 2011. During his tenure as tax Ministers the adoption of the fat tax fell, the October 1, 2011 entered into force.

With a further reshuffle was Lund Poulsen on 8 March 2011, finally, as successor to the retiring Education Minister Tina Nedergaard ( Undervisningsminister ), while Peter Christensen became his own successor as Minister of control. The Office of the Minister of Education he held until the end of the term of office of Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen on 3 October 2011. Since then, he is spokesman for the Venstre for defense policy.
