Trolleybuses in Urgench
The trolley bus operates between Urgench Urgench and Khiva. He has been a cessation of operations in Tashkent on 30 April 2010, the last trolleybus in Uzbekistan. The length of the overland line in 2010 was 36.3 km, but decreased thereafter route change in Urgench slightly. Another inner-city line in Urgench was adjusted.
History
On 20 October 1997, the urban trolleybus in Urgench, the capital of the province Xorazm, opens with the line 1 on the route between Aeroport (airport) and Temir Yul Vokzali ( train station). Urgench so that was the last city of Uzbekistan, in which a trolleybus was reopened. In 1998, the interurban line 2 to Khiva added near the border with Turkmenistan. Thus, the expansion of Obusnetzes was completed.

On 26 October 2009, the government of Uzbekistan made the decision, the remaining Obusbetriebe in Jizzax Namangan and the year 2009/2010 and in the capital, Tashkent, in the course of 2010 set. The trolleybus in Urgench was not intended as the only decommissioning should instead nine new trolleybuses to be procured.
The operation of the airport scheduled line traffic was stopped, but was driven until 2010, when required, to the airport. The regular final stop in Urgench was at the Children's Hospital. 2011 the route network was further reduced in Urgench. First, the section from the city center accounted for Children's Hospital, while also addressing the depot was no longer accessible. 2012 then the city center was suspended from Obusnetz. Alternatively, a new route west of downtown was built that connects to the route to the depot under crossing the original route.
Route network
The trolleybus line 2 essentially follows the course of the road Urgench - Khiva.
In Urgench the original route ran along the north- south axis of the city with the direction of operation to bypass a park. Today's route continues west and binds to the bus station. The last stop is just before the intersection with ul Abulgasi Bachodirchan. The route from here to the east to the depot, but without regular services. In the center of Khiva, the course of Obusstrecke is determined by one-way streets. The last stop on the northern edge of the old town Khiva fortress Ichan - east of the north gate Qal'a. To the west of the fortress, there is another, unused short stretch with turning loop at the west gate. This section is not connected by switches to the regular route being used. Rolling stock
At the opening in 1997 nad Ohri (Czech Republic) were delivered six trolleybuses of the type 14Tr with the numbers 001-006 and three trolleybuses of the more modern version 14TrM with the numbers 007-009 of Škoda Ostrov. The 14TrM differ from the 14Tr primarily by the matrix display on the front. However, this is not used in Urgench to the target display. By 2013, nor were all nine vehicles in stock, then the trolley buses 001, 003 and 005 were retired.
The Škoda 14Tr to be completely replaced by nine Škoda also 24Tr, to be delivered in September 2013.
Operation
2010 Monday to Saturday, eight of the nine existing trolleybuses were used, was driven with those on the single line 2 at a distance of about 25 minutes. The journey takes about 80 minutes. Sundays were only seven trolleybuses in operation. As of 2011, the company was reduced, with four to five trolleybuses was about every 45 minutes gone.
Line 2 will run from about 6:30 bis 18:30 clock. At times, trolleybuses were to be parked on the street during the shut-down in Khiva, otherwise the secondment at the depot Urgench.
