Troparion

As Troparion a short song is called, which is part of the Orthodox liturgy. It usually consists of a stanza ( stanza ), rarely also of several stanzas. In this case, all punches are sung in the same melody.

In Troparion a healing event or a saint is often thought to whom is dedicated the church year a certain day. It thus belongs to the proprium, the changing from day to day parts of worship. In addition, there are also troparia with other functions in the liturgy.
