Tropical antechinus
Antechinus adustus bag is a species of the genus Breitfuß Bag mice.
It has long been considered a subspecies of Antechinus stuartii, but differs from it by the longer and more black fur. Only since 2000, it definitely is considered a unique Art
This species lives in tropical forests in Queensland, Australia, near Townvsille. She shares the unusual mating habits of the other Breitfuß Bag mice: shortly after the mating season males all die through stress-related illnesses.
The IUCN leads Antechinus adustus as Least Concern ( Threatened ).
