TROX GmbH

The TROX GmbH is a company founded in 1951 with headquarters in Neukirchen ( Wesel ) to the west of the German Federal State of North Rhine -Westphalia. TROX is a technology leader in the manufacture, development and marketing of systems and components for ventilation and air conditioning. In the field of air conditioning and ventilation components, the company is the market leader in Europe.

The Group generated by its own account in 2011 a turnover of around 390 million euros and employs approximately 3,300 people worldwide. The group owns 24 subsidiaries in 23 countries with 13 manufacturing facilities and eleven research and development centers. On a production area of 170,000 m², among other products for air circulation and distribution, the smoke and fire protection, noise control and air filtration are produced. About 66 % of sales are generated abroad. The TROX GROUP is also the largest employer of Neukirchen (April 2011).

2011 occurs the entry into production and sale of ventilation and air conditioning equipment ( HVAC ), and is a member of the Manufacturers Association AHUs.

History

In 1951, the Friedrich and Heinrich Trox brothers founded a company for the production of air passages, the Gebrüder Trox GmbH. On the private estate of Henry started on 110 m² production. Just two years after the foundation took over Heinrich Trox the shares in the company of his brother and became sole owner. Helmut Grewe wore for his patented ventilation grille significantly to the growth of the young company. 1954 employed TROX of 75 employees and it has started the construction of the production facility and management in Neukirchen. In 1960 came Henry sons Heinz and Klaus Trox at the company. In the same year began the construction of its own research and development center for the acoustics, fire protection, filter technology, and fluid mechanics.

In the 1960s, the first subsidiaries were established abroad. 1968 Heinrich Trox appointed, who died two years later, his sons Heinz and Klaus managing directors. In the 1970s, the company achieved market leadership in Europe. In addition, the product range in the direction of air -water systems, bus systems and systems for laboratories has been extended.

Klaus Trox died in 1988 and since then, Heinz Trox is the main shareholder and was, until 2001 Chairman of the Board. Today, he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TROX GmbH. In 1998, TROX Hesco AG in Switzerland and the Hesco GmbH in Germany.

In 2000, TROX also took over the FSL, facades ventilation system from Mannheim and extended the product range so decentralized ventilation systems. Followed in 2005 by the acquisition of the Norwegian market leader Auranor AS. Since 2006, the former Gebrüder Trox GmbH operates as TROX GmbH and the worldwide affiliated group describes itself as TROX GROUP. 1 October 2012 took over the building fans TROX GmbH division of TLT- Turbo GmbH in Bad Hersfeld. This has since been trading under the TLT TROX GmbH.
