Truly is a song by Lionel Richie from 1982, which was written by him and produced by him and James Anthony Carmichael. In the United States and Canada, the ballad became a number -one hit. At the 1983 Grammy Awards the song won in the category Best Male Vocal Performance - Pop ( Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male).

In the song, the protagonist says to his lover how much he loves her and will always be there for them.

Truly peaked in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks at No. 1, in the fall of 1982. The song also reached # 1 in the Adult Contemporary charts for nine weeks, and # 2 on the R & B charts. Moreover Truly reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart.
