Trustix

Trustix Secure Linux (TSL ) was a freely available Linux distribution. TSL (now part of the Comodo Group) developed by the same company Trustix. The last version that was released was 3.0.5. In November 2007, the adjustment of the distribution was known. Since early 2008, there is no more security updates.

TSL was specially trimmed for safety and designed for server operation. For this reason, some features such as audio playback or a graphical user interface were not offered. However, the latest Trustix version included all the modern services that can provide a Linux ( Web) server. Some are, for example:

  • Kernel 2.4 (including Firewall / SMP support )
  • Apache 2
  • PHP 4.3.x
  • MySQL 4
  • Samba-3
  • Cyrus or Courier as a mail server
  • Squid

And many more.
