Trygve Reenskaug

Trygve Mikkjel Heyerdahl Reenskaug ( born June 21, 1930) is a Norwegian researchers in computer science. He formulated the concept of Model View Controller for Software Design in 1979 while he was working in Palo Alto at Xerox Parc.

He is involved in the research of object-oriented methods and developed object-oriented role modeling methods and software tools already in 1983. 1986, he founded the IT company Taskon to develop another software tool for object-oriented methods.

Reenskaug wrote the book Working With Objects: The OOram Software Engineering Method, together with P. Wold and OA Lehne.

He has also worked on the development of UML. He is now professor emeritus of computer science at the University of Oslo.
