Tsai Chih Chung

Cai Zhizhong (Chinese蔡志忠, Pinyin Cai Zhizhong, W.-G. Ts'ai Chih-chung; born February 2, 1948 Taiwan) is a Taiwanese cartoonist and comic book artist. His interpretations of classic texts of Chinese philosophy, including by Lao Tzu, Liezi, Zhuangzi, have sold millions of copies worldwide. In German have so far ( in the publishing of Applied Kinesiology, where his name was transcribed as Tsai Chih Chung ) only translations of the English translations appeared.

He was awarded for his work with the Dutch Prince Claus Award 1999.

Besides his work as an illustrator Tsai worked as an entrepreneur in the field of television and animation.
