Tsing Yi

The island of Tsing Yi (English Tsing Yi Iceland ) is an island to the northwest of Hong Kong Iceland; it belongs to the city of Hong Kong. To 10.25 km ² live here today approximately 200,000 people. Together with Kwai Chung Tsing Yi is a part of Tsuen Wan New Town and Kwai Tsing District belongs to; This district is considered one of the New Territories (see Districts of Hong Kong).

Tsing Yi is translated as "green (or black) clothes ." However, there is also a fish called by this name, and was formerly located near the coast of the island.

The island has experienced in recent decades, dramatic structural changes to the coast, which served to create more living space for the residents and efficient road connections (including the Hong Kong International Airport). For example, the natural harbors and bays Tsing Yi Tong, Mun Tsai Tong and Tsing Yi Bay were completely built in the north- west and built thousands of new homes in some of skyscraper -like buildings.
