tuKola

TuKola [ Spanish for " your Cola" ] is a Cuban Cola, which is manufactured under the brand " Ciego Montero " from the state enterprise " Los Portales SA" in Guane ( Pinar del Río ).

After the revolution under Fidel Castro, the U.S. imposed a far-reaching economic embargo against Cuba, which also prevented the import of the U.S. Coca -Cola. As a result, the Cuban own -label cola " Tropicola ", " tuKola " and " FiestaCola " emerged. Both among the Cuban population as well as in the tourism sector tuKola has established itself as the leading brand of cola. The other brands play only a subordinate role.

TuKola is sold in cans of 355 ml PET bottles and 1.5 liter and 2 liters.

Under the name " tuKola Dietética " also a low calorie Light version is offered.

In the early 1990s, there was a joint venture of TuKola umbrella brand " Ciego Montero " of the Cuban operation " Los Portales SA " with the Italian company San Pellegrino. Since the acquisition thereof by Nestlé Waters is TuKola, as well as the other products of the brand " Ciego Montero ," therefore managed by Nestlé Waters.
