The Tunga ( Kannada: ತುಂಗಾ, Tunga ) is a 147 km long river in the Indian state of Karnataka.

The Tunga rises in the Western Ghats at the mountain Varaha Parvata. The river flows through the districts of Chikmagalur and Shimoga. In Koodli he joins with the Bhadra river and is then called in the further course Tungabhadra.

The Tungabhadra flows into the state of Andhra Pradesh in the Krishna.
