Turowo, Pomeranian Voivodeship

Turowo ( German Steinau, Rummelsburg, Kashubian Turowo ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the urban and rural community Miastko ( Rummelsburg ) in Bytowski powiat ( county Buetow ).

Geographical location

Turowo is the Pojezierze Bytowski ( Bytów Lakeland ) between the former county town Miastko ( Rummelsburg ) and the current circle metropolis Bytów ( Buetow ). A road leads from Role ( green forest ) Coming to Kramarzyny ( Kremerbruch ) directly on the Polish national road 20 - is ( former German Empire Road 158 Berlin Lauenburg in Pomerania ), by Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) to Gdynia ( Gdynia ) runs.

Between 1909 and 1945 the question until then Steinau place had about six kilometers distant station Kremerbruch (now Polish: Kramarzyny ) following the railway line Buetow - Rummelsburg ( Bytów - Miastko ).

The term Steinau is a common in Germany and multiple-occurring place name, no less than the name Turowo in Poland.

History

Steinau was after 1843 Vorwerk the community forest green: created and remained until 1945 a village within the town of Green - wood Saaben (Role - Żabno ) (now Polish Role ). In 1905 the town was divided into 15 pension settlements.

The village belonged to the end of World War II to the district Rummelsburg i Pom. ( Miastko ) in the district of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) of the Prussian province of Pomerania.

After 1945 came the now -called Turowo village to Poland and became part of Gmina Miastko within the powiat Bytowski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship ( 1975-1998 Voivodeship Stolp ). Here now live more than a hundred inhabitants.

Church

The 1945 predominantly Protestant inhabitants of Steinau belong to one of twelve places (now Polish: Wałdowo ) in the parish Waldow were the parish. It belonged to the church Rummelsburg ( Miastko ) Ostsprengel in the Church of the Old Prussian Union Pomerania lower church. Last German minister was Pastor Fritz Hütt.
