Tüvshrüülekh

The city Tüwschrüülech (Mongolian Түвшрүүлэх ) is in the middle of Mongolia in the province ( aimag ) Archangai. It is the seat of the administration of the homonymous district ( Sum). The official name of the city, Tawanbulag, many Mongolians are not familiar with, as in Mongolia, the name of the county town usually is identical to the name of the Sums, of which there are 331 in Mongolia.

Location and size

The 1200 km ² large sum Tüwschrüülech counted 3438 inhabitants in 2009 (mostly Khalkha ), of whom 1869 lived in the city Tüwschrüülech. This Tüwschrüülech was the second largest city in the aimags. The city is located 44 km south-east of Tsetserleg, the capital of the aimag.

Facilities

As county seat is Tüwschrüülech home to various authorities and several schools whose buildings dominate the cityscape significantly. Petrol stations and shops to meet the everyday needs are available. A track, the city is connected to the asphalt road that leads from Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, to Tsetserleg.

Environment

Approximately 30 km southeast of Tüwschrüülech is Karakorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia and one of the main attractions of the country.
