Twannberg meteorite

The meteorite Twannberg is the largest meteorite that has been found so far in Switzerland.

The meteorite was found in Twann in Berne on 9 May 1984. The parts collected so far have a mass of approximately 20.7 kg and are located mostly in the Natural History Museum of Bern civic community.

It is the only previously discovered in Europe IIG iron meteorites of class.
