Two Gallants (band)

Two Gallants is an indie rock band from San Francisco, California. It consists of Adam Stephens ( vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Tyson Vogel ( drums, vocals ).

The band named themselves after a short story by James Joyce from Dublin. Their music is characterized by Stephens ' voice rough and could be described as varied, sometimes in punk or ska drift forming folk rock. When critics call Two Gallants associations with artists such as Bright Eyes, Bob Dylan or the Decemberists (with whom she also once went on tour ) out.

History

The band plays since 2002 under their name. However, Stephens and Vogel know who were 20 years old at the time of the founding of Two Gallants, since childhood and have been making music together as a twelve year old. First, they performed at private parties and in department stores. Her debut album The Throes, released on Alive Records, was well received by the critics not only in the United States. This gave the band the opportunity, their second album, What the Toll Tells 2006 to be published when major Saddle Creek label.
