Udo Bullmann

Hans Udo Bullman ( born June 8, 1956 in Gießen) is a German SPD politician and since 1999 SPD MEP for Hesse in the Group of European Socialists (PES ) of the European Parliament.

Training

Bull, he studied political science, sociology, public law and economics. He received his doctorate in 1988, Dr. rer. soc. and worked as a research assistant at the University of Giessen (1989-1996) and Fellow of the German Research Foundation ( 1994-1997). He was Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Government at the University of Strathclyde / Glasgow ( 1994-1998). Up for election to the European Parliament, he was a university lecturer and Jean Monnet Professor of European Studies ( " Studies on European Integration " ) at the Justus -Liebig- University of Giessen (1998-1999 ).

Political career

Since 1975, Bull has been a member of the SPD and was active until 1991, mainly in the Young Socialists, whose Hessian state chairman, he was last seen. 1999 Bull man was elected to the European Parliament after he was still replacement candidate by Willi Gorlach 1994. Since February 1, 2012 he has been Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the European Parliament, of which he was Deputy Chairman since May 2003.

Bull 's priorities are the economy and employment, the EU Lisbon Strategy, European financial services market, as well as development and regional policy. Bull has been a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Delegation to the ACP -EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. Deputy, he is in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and the Delegation for relations with the United States

Udo Bullman is a member of the United Services Union ( Verdi ), the European Union, Germany and the European Union Parliamentarians European Parliament.

He is a member of the EP Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON ) and, since 2009 economic policy spokesman of the Socialist Group on Economic and Monetary Affairs.

Furthermore, Udo Bullman deputy member of the EP Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and Deputy Member of Parliament Delegation for South Africa. He is also a member of the Parliamentary Assembly between the African, Caribbean and Pacific States and the European Union ( ACP-EU).

Private

Bull man is married and has three children.
