Udo Röhrig

Udo Roehrig ( born June 2, 1943 in Great Otter life ) is a former German handball player and coach.

The 1.82 meter tall Roehrig played for SC Magdeburg. For the men's national handball team of the GDR Udo Roehrig scored seven goals in the 1972 Olympics in five games. After his active career as a player Roehrig worked as a handball coach. He trained inter alia the MSV 90 Magdeburg. He is regarded as the "discoverer " of the later National goalkeeper Wieland Schmidt.
