History

The Ueberreuter Verlag was founded in Vienna in 1946 by Thomas F. Salzer under the name Carl Ueberreuter. Owned by the Salzer family houses since 1798, the paper mill Salzer and since 1866 the printing Ueberreuter. Meanwhile, the publisher Publishing Group Ueberreuter has grown and one of the last independent mid-sized companies in the German book market.

The publishing group comprised by 1 January 2014, the storybook program Imprints Annette Betz and Ueberreuter Children 's Fiction program, managed since 2012 in Berlin, nonfiction Babicky with headquarters in Vienna and the Lappan Verlag in Oldenburg. In January 2014, the publishers Annette Betz and Ueberreuter Children and Youth Book of the G & G Verlagsgesellschaft mbH were purchased. Program

The Annette Betz Publishing focuses around 40 each year new publications on content and graphics quality narrative picture books for children of kindergarten age and is also known for his illustrated music picture books with CD that introduce small music lovers at large substances - and Others Die Zauberflöte, Swan Lake, The Bremen Town Musicians, The Rhinegold and Orpheus and Eurydice.
