Ulf Stark

Ulf Stark ( born July 12, 1944 in Stureby, Sweden) is a Swedish author and screenwriter. He writes mainly children's books.

Life

Stark, son of a dentist, studied education and psychology and has worked as an instructor for the Swedish Employment Office.

At the age of 20 he published Ett hål till livet, a book of poems for adults, which was followed in 1966 and 1967 two more books for adults. In 1975 he wrote his first children's book. In 1984 he succeeded to the children's book Dårfinkar och dönickar (Eng. Everyone thinks I am a boy ) international breakthrough. Several of his works have been made ​​into a film.
