Ulrich Dietz

Ulrich Dietz ( born January 25, 1958 in Pforzheim ) is a German manager, CEO and Chairman of the Board of GFT Technologies AG.

Career

After the completion of training as a mechanical engineer Dietz holds a degree in mechanical engineering and product engineering at the technical colleges Reutlingen and Furtwangen with the completion of a graduate engineer.

The GFT ( Society for Technology Transfer ) was on March 19, 1987 by Prof. Dr. -Ing. Schönemann established as the sole shareholder. Ulrich Dietz was managing director since its founding. He took over 1989 first 75 percent in 1991 finally 100 percent of the company shares.

Since October 5, 1998 Dietz is chairman of GFT Technologies AG.

Since the establishment of GFT Technologies AG Ulrich Dietz leads the company. In 1999 he brought GFT public. In the following years, Dietz pursued a consistent strategy of expansion - international and organic. Under his leadership, GFT now has more than 1,300 employees in seven countries. Dietz holds about 30 percent of the shares in GFT.

In 2003, Ulrich Dietz was elected to the Presidium of the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM ); Since June 2013 he serves as Vice - President of the Association. Focus of the BITKOM Bureau are the promotion and development of international relations in the German ICT industry. In addition, Ulrich Dietz is a member of the working group " Digital Economy in Germany" by the National IT Summit of the federal government. The aim is, among others, " to overcome inhibitions in the use of information technology and German SMEs to gain a competitive advantage through IT. " Since March 2010, Ulrich Dietz is as Speaker of the "Information Technology / Telecommunications " in the Eastern Committee of German Business operates. Ulrich Dietz, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 and initiator of the innovation initiative CODE_n.
