Ulrich I, Duke of Brno

Ulrich from Brno ( also Udalrich from Brno, Czech Oldrich Brněnský or Udalrich z Brna ) ( † March 27, 1113 ) was the Moravian prince.

The son of Conrad I and Virpirka of Tengling from the Přemyslovci reigned from 1092 to 1113 in the former Principality of Brno and reigned from 1112 to 1113 in the Principality of Znojmo.

1100 died Břetislavova II after an assassination attempt and Bořivoj II, who had been appointed Moravia after the capture of Ulrich as the administrator, moved to Prague to take over the reign in Bohemia. Ulrich and his brother Litold of Znojmo were entrusted with the management of Moravia.

Ulrich was probably his brother Litolt buried in the Benedictine monastery founded by them in 1109 in Trebitsch.
