Ulrike Arnold

Ulrike Arnold ( * 1950 in Dusseldorf ) is a German artist.

Biography

Arnold studied from 1968 to 1971 music and arts education and practiced then a teaching from. From 1979 to 1986 she studied art at the Dusseldorf Art Academy under Professor Klaus Rinke, from which she graduated in 1986 as a master student. In 1988, she received the Eduard von der Heydt - Sponsorship Award, Wuppertal. Since 1980 the artist traveled and worked on all five continents of the world. Arnold lives and works in Dusseldorf and in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Artistic work

Earth images

Typical of Arnold's painting are their Earth images. It uses a unique material: The artist paints with earth, minerals and stones on nettle. First she collects these colors in the form of stones and break them then even to painting materials. Your image title meet the world found special places where they find their ingredients, such as Flagstaff, Arizona or Bryce Canyon in Utah. The structures, shapes and colors of these images reflect the quality of the landscapes in which they occur on site. Comet images
