Umberto Cagni

Umberto Cagni ( born February 24, 1863 in Asti, † April 22, 1932 in Genoa ) was an Italian explorer and admiral.

Life

Umberto Cagni was the son of a Piedmontese general. At the age of 14, he first entered the Naval Academy in Naples, then moved to Genoa Naval Academy, graduating in 1881 as a lieutenant.
