Umberto Malvano

Umberto Malvano 1907

Umberto Malvano ( born July 17, 1884 in Moncalieri, † September 15, 1971 in Milan ) was an Italian football player, umpire and functionary as well as engineering.

Life and career

Umberto Malvano belonged to the group of 13 students of the Turin Massimo d'Azeglio - Gymnasium, which founded the football club Juventus on 1 November 1897. The offensive player denied to 1904 14 championship games in which he scored five goals for Juve.

After he had completed his military service in Pavia, Malvano in 1905 from AC Milan obliged, where he played as a left winger. In 1906 he won with the Rossoneri, the second Italian championship in club history after Juventus, Milan the opponent in the playoffs was, was to protest the hosting of the second game in Milan, non-runner.

After 1906 Umberto Malvano studied engineering. Before the First World War, he was also active as a referee, shortly after the war, he served under Luigi Bozino as Vice President of the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC ).

Umberto Malvano died on 15 September 1971 at the age of 87 years in Milan.
