Ãœnal AlpuÄŸan

Ünal Alpugan ( born August 3, 1973 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a retired German -Turkish football player.

Career

Ünal Alpugan began his career at Westfalia Buer, FC Schalke 04 and the SG Wattenscheid 09 Until 1997, he played for FC Rhade. From 1997 to 2001, he again played for FC Schalke 04, first for the amateur team. During the winter break of 1998/99 he was taken by coach Huub Stevens of Schalke signing Hami Mandıralı as an interpreter during the training sessions of the professionals. He fell by his performance in training the trainer on, in the following year and a half was a regular and was appointed a total of four times in the squad of the Turkish national team. With FC Schalke 04 he was in season 2000/ 01 German Vice Champion and DFB Cup winners, after which he moved to Çaykur Rizespor. There he played until 2006 and then moved to Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor. For the 2009/2010 season, he signed a contract with the playing in the national league club YEG Hassel, which provided for a job as player-coach. In April 2010, he left the YEG Hassel and thus ended his playing career.

After the career

Since 2008 Alpugan lives again in Gelsenkirchen and plans either in Germany or in Turkey to attend the coaching license.
